Chicken Vada
Ingredients

Chana dal – 1/2 cup
Water
Chicken – 300 gms
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Chili powder – 1 tsp
Onion – 1 chopped
Green chili – 2 chopped
Ginger – 1 chopped
Curry leaves
Fennel seeds – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves
Oil

Method:
1.Take 1/2 cup of chana dal in a glass jar. Wash it a few times and soak with water and let it sit for a minimum of 1 and 1/2 hours.
2.Take a pressure cooker. Add 300 gms of chicken, 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tsp of salt, 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of chili powder and 1/2 cup of water.
3.Keep flame on medium and pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles.
4.Now, chicken is cooked. turn the flame on high and cook till the stock gets dry.
5.Cool the chicken pieces and shred it.
6.Take a little of soaked chana dal and keep it for later.
7.Now, transfer soaked chana dal to a mixer and add shredded chicken, 1 chopped onion, 2 chopped green chili, 1 chopped ginger, curry leaves, 1/2 tsp of fennel seeds, 1/2 tsp of salt, coriander leaves and grind it to a coarse mixture(do not add water).
8.Finally, add little soaked chana dal and mix it all together.
9.Take a little bit of the mixture and flatten it with your palms.
10.Take a wide kadai. Heat oil.
11.Once it is hot, gently drop it into the oil and deep fry it till you get golden brown in colour.
Chicken vada is now ready to be served for your tea time.
