eggless choco lava cake or molten lava cake is one of the popular cakes that is liked by most folks including kids. the molten lava cake recipe shown in the video is one of the easiest choco lava cake one can prepare.

the recipe is an eggless version. whole wheat flour (atta) is used instead of all purpose flour (maida) in the lava cake recipe. cocoa powder is also added which is one of the ingredient of the cake batter. couverture chocolate is used to get the molten lava. though in absence of a baking chocolate, you can also use regular chocolates like cadbury or bournville or any good brand.

amongst couverture chocolate – sweet, semi sweet, bitter sweet and milk chocolate can be used.

since only baking soda is used in the recipe, do make sure that the baking soda is fresh and active.

a regular oven (OTG) is used for baking these cakes. but you can also bake these lava cakes in the convection mode of microwave oven. if using the convection mode of microwave oven, then preheat at 180 degrees celsius for 15 minutes and then bake at 180 degrees celsius for 25 to 30 minutes.

since each oven differs, do note that the baking time vary from oven to oven. instead of ramekins, you can also aluminium foil cups or a muffin pan.
