Fish Tawa fry – Dory fish – മീൻ തവ ഫ്രൈ

Hello, everybody! Sorry, I didn’t post for the past two weeks as I was super busy, and my schedule was on fire. Anyhow, I hope you all enjoy this Fish Tawa Fry recipe! Let me know if you made it at home!

HOW TO MAKE FISH TAWA FRY WITH DORY FISH
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED
Dory Fish – 500 gms
Crushed shallots – 100 gms
Tomato juice (Made with 3/4 cups of water and 1 tomato
Crushed green pepper corns – 1 tablespoon
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tablespoon
Ginger-Garlic paste – 1/2 tablespoon
Fish Fry Masala – 2 tablespoons (I have used the Nirapara Fish Fry Masala, as it is one of my favorites!)
Curry leaves – 20-25 leaves
Coconut oil – 4 tablespoons

PREPARATION
Step 1: To a hot pan, pour 4 tablespoons of coconut oil.
Step 2: Add chopped shallots.
Step 3: Fry
NOTE: Don’t fry the shallots till they are golden brown, just make it translucent.
Step 4: After the shallots become translucent, add ginger-garlic paste, crushed green pepper corns, turmeric powder, fish masala and curry leaves.
Step 5: Stir for a minute.
Step 6: Pour tomato juice.
Step 7: Add salt to taste.
Step 8: Check salt.
Step 9: Slide fish pieces into the masala.
Step 10: Spread masala over the fish.
NOTE: Cook the fish on a low flame.
Step 11: Close lid and cook for 5-7 minutes.
Step 12: Flip the fish to cook the other side.
Step 13: Again, let the fish cook for 5-7 minutes.
NOTE: Keep the lid open this time.
Step 14: Move the fish to a plate.
Step 15: Decorate with a tomato flower (optional)
Step 16 (FINALLY): Enjoy!
