Black Eyed Peas(Soaked) – 1 cup
Ash Gourd – 1 bowl
Slit Green Chili
Diluted Coconut milk – 3/4 cup
Thick Coconut milk – 1 cup
1.Pour Water in the pressure cooker and add 1 cup of black eyed peas (soaked for 30 minutes) and pressure cook for 3 to 4 whistles.
2.Strain the cooked peas and keep it aside.
3.Take a wide sauce pan, add Coconut oil, bowl of Ash Gourd(Winter melon) cut into cubes, few slit Green Chilies, Curry leaves, Salt, little Water and close the pan and let it cook.
4.Once Ash Gourd is cooked, add the cooked peas into it.
5.Gently give it a stir and keep the flame in low.
6.Add 3/4 cup of Diluted Coconut Milk and after a minute, add 1 cup of thick Coconut milk.
Mild and flavoring Olan is ready to serve.
