Burns:

• A burn is caused by accidently coming in contact with:
o Fire
o Hot fluids
o Chemicals
• It’s one of the most common forms of injuries

Symptoms to look for:

• Burns are divided into 3 categories:
• First degree burns:
o Minor skin inflammation
o Redness of skin
o Swelling
o Tender skin
• Second degree burns:
o They go deeper in the skin
o Blisters
o Pain and inflammation
• Third degree burns:
o They are the most severe
o They destroy the affected skin area

Natural home remedy using aloe vera:

1. De-thorn and remove the outer skin of an aloe vera leaf
2. Extract aloe vera gel from inside
3. Apply aloe vera gel on the affected area
4. Leave it for 30 min
5. Repeat twice a day

Natural home remedy using egg white:

1. Take 1 egg white
2. Apply it on the affected area
3. Wash after 10 min

Natural home remedy using turmeric powder and mustard oil:

1. Take 1 tsp turmeric powder
2. Add 1 tbsp mustard oil
3. Mix well
4. Apply on the burn
5. Leave it for 30 min
6. Do this twice a day

Tips:

• Immediately reduce the temperature of the skin by putting chilled water on it. Do not apply ice directly on the skin
• Only first degree burns should be treated at home
• If rose water is easily available, wash the affected area with it
