Cabbage Manchurian

Cabbage manchurian is a popular Indo-Chinese recipe. The crispy cabbage balls are added to a spicy and tangy sauce, it tastes best when had hot. You can eat this as is or you have this along fried rice or noodles.

Ingredients :

To make cabbage manchurian balls –
Cabbage – 2 cups
Salt – 1 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Pepper
Ginger – 1 tsp chopped
Garlic – 1 tsp chopped
Corn flour – 2 tbsp
Maida – 2 tbsp
Oil

To make manchurian sauce –
Oil – 1 tbsp
Garlic – 1 tsp finely chopped
Garlic – 1 tsp finely chopped
Small onion – 1 nos finely chopped
Small capsicum – 1 nos finely chopped
Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
Red chilli sauce – 2 tbsp
Tomato ketchup – 3 tbsp
Vinegar – 2 tsp
Water – 1/2 cup
Chilli flakes – 1/2 tsp
Pepper
Spring onion greens

Method :

1.Grate the cabbage
2.Take the grated cabbage in a bowl
3.Add maida, corn flour, ginger, garlic, red chili powder, salt, pepper powder
4.Mix everything well
5.Make small balls out of it and keep it aside
6.Heat some oil for deep frying
7.Add the balls into the hot oil and deep fry them
8.Keep this aside
9.Heat a pan with some oil, add garlic, ginger, onions, capsicum and stir fry them
10.Add all the sauces, and mix well
11.Add the fried cabbage balls, red chili flakes, pepper and mix it along
12.Cook it for 5 mins
13.Finally add spring onion greens and turn off the stove
14.Serve the Cabbage Manchurian while it’s still hot.
