Clay Pot Fish Curry

In this recipe, I am going to teach you how to make fish curry in a clay pot. Claypot increases the flavor of the curry and adds its own unique flavor to the recipe.

Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 30 minutes
Number of servings: 6

Ingredients

Seer fish – 12 pieces
Gingely oil – 3 tsp
Fenugreek – 1/4 tsp
Peppercorns – 1/2 tsp
Shallots – 15 sliced
Green Chilli – 2
Garlic – 3
Ginger Garlic paste – 1 tsp
Tomato – 4
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Chili powder – 3 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Tamarind puree – 1 cup
Water – 1 1/2 cups
Curry leaves
Salt to taste

Method

1. Heat some oil in a clay pot
2. Add mustard seeds, fenugreek, peppercorns, shallots, and green chilies
3. Saute the onions till they turn brown, add garlic, ginger garlic paste, tomatoes
4. Add chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt
5. Cook the tomatoes well and add tamarind puree
6. Boil the curry and add the fish pieces
7. Boil the curry once again
8. Clay pot fish is ready to be served. Seve it hot with steamed rice
