സ്വാദേറും ബിരിയാണി ചമ്മന്തി _ Kerala Style Biriyani Chammanthi

How to make Green Chammanthi?

Grated coconut – 1 cup (240 ml cup)
Garlic Cloves – 4
Green Chilli – 8
Mint leaves – 1/2 cup
Putina leaves – 1/2 cup
Lemon Juice – 3 tbsp (Or as per taste)
Salt for taste

All we need to do is grind the ingredients together.

However, you have to grind garlic cloves, green chilli, Coriander leaves and mint leaves together first.
Because if you grind these along with coconut there is a chance that all ingredients do not blend well.

Note: Some people use only coriander leaves, but I have taken half coriander and half mint leaves. It gives a special flavour and taste.

Add salt and blend.

Then add coconut to the mixture and blend again.

That’s it… Take the mixture to a bowl. There is one more main ingredient to add which gives the tangy taste to chammanthi.

Squeeze 2 tbsp lemon juice first, mix well and check the taste.
I feel little more lemon juice has to be added. So add more lemon juice and then adjust salt.

Ummm… Now our tangy green biryani chammanthi is ready to serve with Kerala Biriyani 🙂
