Meatball kofta curry is a very nice accompaniment with rice, rotis, and any type of bread. Instead of sticking to the usual way of making dishes, preparing and presenting the dishes in an innovative way is worth appraising. The ingredients used in making meatball kofta curry are very common and easily available in our homes. Our wonderful chef, Wendy, shows how she prepared the delicious dish with these simple ingredients.

Kofta is commonly referred to as meatballs. It is prepared with finely grounded meat(beef or lamb or chicken) combined with spices, chili, salt, pepper, egg, turmeric powder, cumin powder, crushed ginger and garlic, finely chopped onions, coriander leaves, lemon juice and bread crumbs. Combine this well with your hands and make a medium-sized ball from it. Use a little pressure for making the meatballs. Set aside for a few minutes.

Meatballs are then fried in oil and set apart. The next phase is the preparation of curry which makes the meatballs tastier and hmmm… juicier. Saute sliced onions, chili, ginger garlic paste, spices(cardamon, cloves, cinnamon), and tomato puree in oil. Saute it very well and add some water and coconut milk and stir it very slowly. Drop our meatballs into the flavorsome coconut milk gravy. Just swirl your meatballs and close the lid. Cook it for a few minutes and it is ready to serve.
