The first step in preparing Tasty Mutton Pulao Recipe | Mutton Yakhni Pulao Recipe is soaking the basmati rice in water. By soaking the rice we can reduce the cooking time of the rice. The next step is cooking the mutton. Pour some cooking oil into the cooker. Fry the star anise, cardamom, mace, cloves, cinnamon, pepper, and bay leaves. Let the aroma infuse into the oil and stir it continuously. Add sliced onions and mutton, ginger garlic paste, and salt. Stir it. You have to continuously stir the mutton pieces till it turns whitish in color and releases oil. Add 3 cups of water and cover and pressure cook it.

In a heavy-bottomed vessel, pour some oil. Add cloves and cardamom. pepper, caraway seeds, ginger garlic paste, and bay leaves. Stir it again. Add sliced onions, chopped tomatoes, crushed fennel seeds and coriander seeds, coriander and mint leaves, and 4-5 green chilies. Stir it continuously. When it starts to release oil and the tomatoes are well-cooked, reduce the flame and add curd. Again stir it. Then add the mutton pieces along with the broth. You have to adjust the measurement of water as we have already added liquid broth. Add the soaked rice. Cover it and cook for some time. Tasty Mutton Pulao is ready to serve.
