Please make sure the prawns are deveined, otherwise it will create digestive problems in some people. Next is keeping every ingredient ready.
Ingrdients are:
Prawns (deveined) – 1 kg
Half-cooked basmati rice – Cook 3 glasses of basmati rice in 6 glasses of water. The rice should be half-cooked.
For the masala:
coconut oil – 4 tbsp
Onion – 4 nos
Cashew nuts – 10 nos
Raisins – 10 nos
Ginger garlic chilly paste – 3 tbsp
Tomatoes – 2 nos
Coriander leaves – 1/2 cup
Mint leaves – 1/2 cup
Lemon – 1
Curd – 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tbsp
Chilly powder – 1/2 tbsp
Garam masala – 1/2 tbsp
Preparation Method:
Saute nicely every ingredient for making biryani masala. Fry cashews and raisins in coconut oil and keep it aside. Then fry chopped onions till brown. Add ginger garlic chili paste. Saute it again until it gets rid of the raw taste. Then add the chopped tomatoes and stir it again till the skin fall apart. Add turmeric, chili, and garam masala powder. Continue the stirring to make sure the masala doesn’t get burned. Now add curd and stir it. Then add prawns and cook for 10 minutes. Add lemon juice and a generous amount of coriander and mint leaves. Now the biryani masala is ready.
Grease some ghee inside the earthen pot. Layer the masala and the rice in an earthen pot. Add coriander and mint leaves on the top. Pour some ghee too. Bake the biryani in the oven for some time. Serve hot and enjoy.
