Aratikaya Pachadi (Plantain Chutney)
Aratikaya Pachadi is a delicious combination of tangy tomato and tamarind combined with plantain.
Ingredients

Plantain (Aratikaya)
Tomato – 1
A few cloves of Garlic
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Green chilli – 2
Tamarind – 1
A few Coriander leaves
Salt to taste

Method

1. To sauté the vegetables: Add some oil in a pan and add the plantains, green chilies, garlic, tamarind and tomato. Turn off the stove when the vegetables are sautéed.
2. Transfer the contents of the pan to a mixer, add some cumin seeds , coriander leaves and a pinch of salt. And grind them to get a coarse paste.
3. Temper some split urad dal, mustard seeds, asafetida powder and fresh curry leaves. Add the tempered ingredients to the paste.
