Mushroom Matar Sabji

Mushroom Matar Sabji is a quick and simple dish that can be made in minutes. Since mushrooms and peas are nutrient dense, this recipe is both nutritious and tasty at the same time. You can serve this gravy with roti, phulkas, naan or pulao.

Number of Servings: 4-5 persons

Ingredients

Mushroom – 400 Gms
Green Peas – 1/2 Cup
Cashew Nut – 10 Nos
Tomato – 3 Nos
Oil – 2 Tbsp
Whole Spice
(Cinnamon, Clove & Cardamom)
Pepper
Cumin Seeds – 1 Tsp
Garlic – 1 Tsp Finely Chopped
Ginger – 1 Tsp Finely Chopped
Green Chili – 2 Nos
Onion – 2 Nos Chopped
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 Tsp
Kashmiri Chili Powder – 2 Tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 Tsp
Garam Masala – 1/2 Tsp
Fresh Cream – 1 Tbsp
Coriander Leaves
Salt – 1 Tsp
Water – 1 Cup

Method
1. Soak cashews in some water for 30 mins
2. Blanch the tomatoes and let it cool completely
3. Grind the blanched tomatoes and cashews together
4. Heat some oil in a kadai, roast the whole spices
5. Add chopped ginger, garlic, onions, green chilies
6. Saute them till the onions turn brown
7. Add tomato and cashew puree and saute it for 5 mins
8. Add in the spice powders and salt
9. Give it a mix and cook it till the oil separates
10. Add the chopped mushrooms
11. Add enough water and close it and cook it
12. Finally, add fresh cream and garnish it with coriander leaves
13. Serve it hot with roti or pulao
