Ingredients for making hibiscus squash:

Hibiscus – 2 tsp

Sugar – 130 gm

Water – 1 cup

Cardamom and cloves – 3

Wash the hibiscus flowers, and remove the stem. Boil the hibiscus petals with sugar, cardamom, and cloves in water. This must be boiled for approximately 20 minutes or until the water reduces by 1/2. Cool the squash and bottle it.
Hibiscus squash is ready to use. You can store this in a glass bottle for about 2 weeks. The squash would be red enough. So you don’t need to add any extra food color to it.

Put some ice cubes and mint leaves in a glass. Pour some squash as required, and squeeze 1/2 lime. That’s an optional step. Here our chef, Raihanath Shajudheen uses soda to make a refreshing drink. So you can choose soda or water as you like. Try and enjoy 🙂
