Pachadi is a combination of sweetness and sourness that distinguish it from other dishes. There are varieties of pachadi in Kerala cuisine. Here our chef is showing an awesome recipe of മുളകാപച്ചടി – Mulaka Pachadi. As the name suggests, the main ingredient is mulak or chilies.

You can store this curry for a week or more. Don’t forget to reheat the curry at the end of the day to retain the freshness. You can also store it in the fridge in an airtight container. The chilies used for this recipe are the chilies used to prepare kondattam. Mulak Kondattam is a chili fry that is also usually served with rice in Kerala. Slits are made on a batch of chilies and another batch of chilies is cut in half for this recipe. The slit ones are fried and those chiles that are cut in half are directly added to the curry.
